Western Sky

( / )

48" x 48" framed in a white oak frame. The frame adds 1 inch all around.

This piece was inspired by Augusta’s trip to Santa Fe in 2021, hiking the Bandelier canyon. She wanted to capture the feeling of expansiveness she felt once she reached the top—how good it felt to be outside with her favorite people, soaking up the bounty of life. The painting alone has six different shades of blue to capture the depth of the sky, lending itself to a painting that captures the outdoors yet also has enough playfulness in the charcoal marks and zip of green at the bottom to ground it. The perfect painting to remind you of a favorite trip, and one that goes with any décor.

This original painting is a 48” height x 48” width x 1.5” depth mixed oil media (oil paint and pastel) on stretched canvas. It is framed in a white oak floater frame which adds an extra inch all around.

  • It is painted on the sides (i.e., gallery wrapped) for a finished look without the frame.
  • For authentication, it is signed and dated on the back.
